I have deleted all my "notes" from the 2011 session; it was depressing.   There were so many opportunities lost.   We promised people for years that when things got better, we would help them.   Well, things got better, thanks to the oil boom in ND, but we still didn't help them.   There was money for meters that could be read by satelite and tax relief for out-or-state corporations  but no money for Head Start, autistic kids or tax relief for those in real need.

Is it finally a rainy day?  There is flooding all over the state.   Minot, Devils Lake, Bismarck and along the Red River (yes, it's still above flood stage too!).   We have a record of helping our own in disasters; the National Guard pitched in as we expected them to, will the state coffers pitch in too?
